The 26 year old native of Drammen, just back from a very disappointing season (just one set in the 20), risked elimination in the quarterfinals, by closing out their battery behind Calle Halfvarsson, Turvoll Sondre Fossli and Anton Gafarov. Only the two cents that separated him from Alex Harvey, 5th and eliminated, allowed him to be rescued as lucky loser.
A more convincing semi-final, closed in second place, allowed Goldberg to access the last act, where his success has still got a surprise.

Fifth and sixth place went, respectively, to Alexander Panzhinskiy and Finn Haagen Krogh, immediately cut off the challenge for the podium.
