There will be Lucia Scardoni at the start of the next staigone.
A surprise for the movement of the blue background, so much so that the 1991 Veronese class had been regularly included in the main group of the World Cup team. The FISI has made it known, through a press release, that the bearer of the Gruppo Sciatori Fiamme Gialle has communicated in the past few hours to the Federation itself and to the sports group the decision to abandon the competitive career.
Scardoni took part in two Olympics (PyeongChang 2018 and Beijing 2022), obtaining an eighth place in the recent edition of the Games with the relay as the best placing. Four participations in world championships between Val di Fiemme 2013, Lahti 2017, Seefeld 2019 and Oberstdorf 2021, with a seventh place in the World Championship in Austria, always with the relay.
The Venetian made her World Cup debut in the 2011/12 season, in the classic technique 15 km of Nove Mesto, and her best stage result in ten years of international career was a fifth place in the sprint in classic technique of Val di Fiemme in 2020. It was classified in thirtieth place in the general classification of the CdM 2020/21 and, in addition, it also boasts three absolute individual Italian titles.
