Continuing our review on the history of the Tour de Ski. & Egrave; the time to relive the & rsquo; female edition of 2009, the first that touches three countries (Germany, Czech Republic and Italy) and that has a format similar to the type and number of stages at present.

Third place went to Petra Majdi & # 263 ;, while Bj ø rgen and Kuitunen disappoint reaching respectively seventh and seventeenth. Cos & Igrave; Follis can & ograve; celebrate the leadership in the overall standings with 8 seconds over Saarinen and 13 of Bj ø rgen. For the first time an Italian athlete male or female as the bib of the leader of the Tour de Ski.
9 KM TC NOVE MESTO The dream ends already Follis & agrave; Nove Mesto: in 9 km classic technique with interval start Kuitunen back to raise its voice, winning by nearly 40 seconds over Saarinen and 50 of Bj ø rgen. Follis, not too comfortable in this format, closes sixteenth to almost 2 minutes of posting, and in the overall ranking slipped to sixth place in just over & ugrave; a minute from Kuitunen and immediately in front of a good Marianna Longa, sixth stage.
SPRINT TL NOVE MESTO The Aosta Valley is not giving up, and sprint in Nove Mesto achieves another success ahead of Petra Majdi & # 263; and Aino Kaisa Saarinen. Fourth a talented Magda Genuin, always among the best in the sprint of the Tour de Ski. Even worse, at least by their standards, Kuitunen and Bj ø rgen, eighth and ninth respectively. Saarinen took the lead in the overall standings by 13 seconds over compatriot and 37 on the Norwegian; Follis & egrave; fifth behind Majdi & # 263; 52 seconds off the leader.
10 KM TC MASS START VAL DI FIEMME Third Edition of the 10 km classic technique with mass start in Val di Fiemme and the third success for Virpi Kuitunen.
