Continuing our review on the history of the Tour de Ski. & Egrave; the time to relive the & rsquo; masculine edition of 2009, the first that touches three countries (Germany, Czech Republic and Italy) and that has a format similar to the type and number of stages at present.

15 KM TC NOVE MESTO It remains in the Czech Republic for a 15 km classic technique with interval start. Teichmann proves to be in great shape going to win in front of Martin Johnsrud Sundby, & Outdoors; vintage specialist of this race, and the amazing Kazakh Nikolay Chebotko, climbing to third in the standings to 16 seconds by Cologna, who closes the fifteenth stage, and 2/10 from Rotchev, which reaches virtually on a par with the Swiss. Northug disappoint, twenty-eighth to pi & ugrave; a minute from Teichmann and tenth at 1:01 by Cologna in the overall standings.
SPRINT TL NOVE MESTO Cross-country skiers are celebrating the New Year with the Sprint skating in Nove Mesto. Petter Northug recovers and goes on to win, coming back strongly in the race for the Tour de Ski. According & egrave; Hetland, a third Christian Zorzi who gets the fourteenth and final podium in a class race of his career. Cologna fifth and closes the door in 23 seconds ahead of Rotchev seventh. Ranked third general & egrave; Eldar R ø nning, never on the podium but always constant, trailing by 32 seconds, fourth Northug 48, fifth Teichmann to 55. Di Centa and Piller are respectively eighth and ninth in about a minute and a half from the Swiss, in the running for the podium.
20 KM TC MASS START VAL DI FIEMME The last two stages of the Tour de Ski in 2009 are held as tradition in Val di Fiemme. The first & egrave; the 20 km classic technique with mass start and Teichmann makes its voice winning and gaining even 50 seconds thanks to the intermediate sprints. The German was in the second place overall trailing by 34 seconds from Cologna fourth but good to scrape together 30 seconds of bonus. Second stage & egrave; Sami Jauhoj & auml; rvi, third the increasingly & ugrave; Chebotko surprising. It lost a lot of time Northug, trailing by 1:23 that seems to bid farewell to dreams of glory, especially given its chronic difficulties & agrave; the Cermis. Although the Blues have lost ground and the podium is not & egrave; pi & ugrave; within their reach.
CLIMB TO CERMIS seems a heads up between Cologna and Teichmann, but in reality & agrave; is not serious; cos & Igrave ;: German collapses gi & agrave; in the first level kilometers, and as the slopes of the Cermis increase finally loses sight of Cologne, very good to measure out your energy and to go comfortably to win his first Tour de Ski. From the back to & ograve; Ivan Babikov emerge and Tom Reichelt, who despite not having ambitions in the general classification strong rise removing Di Centa to the joy of partial success, the Canadian who gets what & egrave; tutt & rsquo; now his only career victory.
