PROLOGUE TL OBERHOF The traditional prologue to freestyle Oberhof is won by Petter Northug, hitherto undisputed ruler of the season. It seems l & rsquo; good year for the Norwegian to be able to win the stage race of the cross country skiing, although it remains the & rsquo; incognita of his estate on the Cermis. According & egrave; Marcus Hellner, third the usual Axel Teichmann, who despite not crossing one of the best seasons of his career, finds himself in the best shape for the Tour de Ski. The best Blues & egrave; Loris Frasnelli, surprisingly sixth. The ranking however as usual & egrave; very short, so that & rsquo; tracking & agrave will see later; Starting the boys practically all together.
15 KM TC CHASE OBERHOF No surprises: Northug is reabsorbed by the group within a few meters and we are witnessing a real mass start. What happens to the & rsquo; & egrave last kilometer; perhaps one of the most & ugrave; large demonstrations of force cross-country skiing modern: Northug & egrave; around the twentieth place, last of the group that you play success, when it starts to climb positions on positions. A hundred meters from the finish & egrave; still fifth and victory it looks set to Maxim Vylegzhanin. The phenomenon Norwegian & ograve; It does not give up and with a final straight thrilling photo finish can overcome the Russian and win the second consecutive win. Completing the podium Finnish Matti Heikkinen.
SPRINT TC OBERHOF The third stage is held still at Oberhof and & egrave; the first sprint in alternate in the history of the Tour de Ski. Vince Eldar R ø nning, but good luck in the final when Emil J & ouml; nsson, much more sprinter & ugrave; strong in the race, is thrown to the ground by Ivan Alypov, then demoted to sixth place. Second place for Northug that increasing the lead in the overall standings, a surprising third Teichmann that seems to be the & rsquo; only rival of the Norwegian.
TL SPRINT PRAGUE you go to Prague for the fourth stage, a & rsquo; this time other sprint free technique. The first surprise you in battery, when Northug is eliminated. A sort of rest stop for him after the efforts of the previous days. Vince Emil J & ouml; nsson, that this time will not be stopped by anyone, according to Marcus Hellner third Simen & Ø Stensen, that he sees himself in the top positions as usual during the Tour de Ski. In the overall standings J & ouml; nsson & egrave; clearly first, but we presenter & agrave; at the start of the next stage: his duty in the sprint did pi & ugrave; that very well, and the new regulation provides that the points of the stage are awarded to those who retire before the Cermis.
DOBBIACO-CORTINA. Stage unpublished 35km freestyle between Cortina and Dobbiaco, in which children start with the gaps accumulated in the four previous stages. Not showing J & ouml; nsson, the top eight start together, but the goal remains the three most & ugrave; strong: Petter Northug go to cut the finish line first and win the third Toblacher partial success of the Tour de Ski 2010, according & egrave; Dario Cologna, Marcus Hellner third. From behind large recoveries of Italian and French, with Jean Marc Gaillard dating back to fourth place and with Valerio Checchi, second-half profit of race behind Ivan Babikov and best blue in the overall standings, 38 seconds behind Northug thirteenth.
10 KM TC DOBBIACO The sixth stage takes place always in Dobbiaco and & egrave; a 10 km classic technique with interval start. Vince Swede Daniel Richardsson, the first victory of his career, before a breath Luka & scaron; Bauer, up to this moment ever he set on display, also because & eacute; the stages played were not particularly unsuitable for it. Northug third leading to the 20-second lead over Hellner overall. Giorgio Di Centa & egrave; seventh stage, placement that allows him to become the best Italian and back in ninth place with just over & ugrave; a minute of detachment from Northug.
20 KM TC MASS START VAL DI FIEMME The penultimate stage & egrave; l & rsquo; now familiar 20 km classic technique with mass start in Val di Fiemme. And & egrave; a stage different from traditional mass start men: not witnessing the classic 20 km of boredom handled only by the intermediate sprints, this year, about half & agrave; race, rages Luka & scaron; Bauer. First try to earn bonus seconds, but is always beaten and mocked by Northug in full control in the sprints. Then attack with a deadly progression that exhausts the Norwegian was forced to surrender. Bauer went on to win the stage solo trimming 30 seconds Northug and rising to 8 detachment in the overall standings. Third stage and Ranked & egrave; Axel Teichmann, but the gap 1:30 portends that the Cermis to & agrave; arbitrate in a head to head between Northug and Bauer.
CLIMB TO CERMIS Bauer proves particularly love quest & rsquo; last stop, in just a few hundred meters & egrave; Northug on the tails of the slopes and just become important greets his breakaway companion and flies to his second victory in the Tour de Ski. Crazy race that the Czech, who make & agrave; also mark the best time to climb before Hellner (fourth in the standings) and Gaillard (fifth). Northug instead breaks down, but managed to defend the second place by the return of Dario Cologna, again on the podium after the victory of & rsquo; previous year, while Teichmann also confirms to suffer greatly this stage receding until the seventh place finish behind by over 3 minutes from Bauer. Do not shine the blue: in the end the best & egrave; Giorgio Di Centa, Cermis tenth despite a less brilliant than in previous years. Valerio Checchi ends instead fourteenth.
TOUR DE SKI MASCHLE 2010 & ndash; FINAL STANDINGS 1. BAUER Luka & scaron; (CZE) 4: 13: 10.6 2. Petter Northug (NOR) +1: 16.4 3. Dario Cologna (SUI) +1: 32.2 4. Marcus Hellner (SWE) +1: 41.4 5. GAILLARD Jean Marc (FRA) + 1: 52.6
