The sixth edition of the Tour de Ski & egrave; that which took place between 29 December 2011 and the & rsquo; 8 January 2012. We relive what happened to the men.

PROLOGUE TL OBERHOF The Prologue free technique does not give surprises. The top four are placed in fact the first four of the World Cup as well as & eacute; big favorites for the success of the Tour de Ski. Petter Northug wins, before Dario Cologna, Maurice Manificat and Marcus Hellner. However, as usual, the gaps are tight to and l & rsquo; tracking day looks a lot like a mass start. Vince Nikita Kriukov, Olympic champion of this specialty & agrave ;, second place Alexey Petukhov, Nikolay Morilov for third and fourth for Dmitry Japarov. They come in the final, finishing fifth and sixth respectively, Dario Cologna and Petter Northug, the Norwegian takes the red bib overall lead with 5 seconds margin on the Swiss and 14 of Japarov. They begin to accuse detachments over 30 seconds, all the others.
SKIATHLON OBERSTDORF The first stage of 2012 & egrave; the Skiathlon Oberstdorf. Continues the duel-Cologna Northug, the Norwegian who after suffering the attacks of opponents in the segment classic technique, he recovered brilliantly to skating, going to win in a sprint finish his second stage victory in front of the Swiss rival. 20 KM TC MASS START VAL DI FIEMME In 20 km in the Val di Fiemme Cologna alternately defends better, scraping together different bonus seconds, finishing third stage, and introducing himself on the eve of the climb to Alpe Cermis with 1:15 margin on Northug, fourth at the finish line of Lake Tesero. The stage was won by Eldar R ø nning, which saves the intermediate sprints and looks more & ugrave; fresh opponents to the decisive sprint. Second place and first podium finish in a stage of the Tour de Ski, Alex Harvey, while d & agrave; goodbye to dreams of podium Alexander Legkov, victim of a crash that relegates him to over 2 minutes ahead of the third place occupied by Marcus Hellner.
CLIMB TO CERMIS No surprises along the slopes of the Alpe Cermis. The advantage gained in the previous stages allows Dario Cologna to climb with extreme caution and going on to win his third Tour de Ski career. Behind him square Marcus Hellner, which leverages its increased susceptibility to a hard stage like this to catch up and overtake Petter Northug, however again on the podium, the fourth consecutive Tour de Ski. Good fourth place for Devon Kershaw, while fifth & egrave; Alexander Legkov, author of the best time to climb before Hellner and Maurice Manificat (seventh at the end) and, in fact, deprived of the podium since the fall suffered in the penultimate stage. For Italians, results in hand, & egrave; the worst ever Tour de Ski: The best & egrave; Giorgio Di Centa fifteenth, Roland Clara (nineteenth) and Thomas Moriggl (twenty) are saved obtaining respectively the fourth and the fifth time on the Cermis.
