Tuesday 29 December 2015 10 minutes reading time
PROLOGUE TL OBERSTDORF Oberstdorf At the start there are all the best skiers in the world, and since the prologue we understand that hardly find room for outsiders. Dario Cologna wins fact, pointing to the more poker & ugrave; important stage race cross-country skiing, an event in which fails to penetrate from 2012. The Swiss precedes 5/2 Calle Halfvarsson and Petter Northug, who accompanied him on the podium, among the first the other favorite Marcus Hellner fifth and Martin Johnsrud Sundby tenth. It shows in great condition the Russians Ilia Chernousov which ranks fourth, Evgeniy Belov Andrey Larkov sixth and seventh.
15 KM TC CHASE OBERSTDORF As often happened in previous editions, the & rsquo; tracking Oberstdorf looks just like a starting line, so that the victory is given in the sprint. Petter Northug demonstrates for the & rsquo; once again to be as & ugrave; strong in this format, going to beat Alex Harvey, second, and Calle Halfvarsson third. Dario Cologna slipped to sixth, but deserve special praise our Francis De Fabiani and Dietmar N & ouml; ckler: the first is a close seventh, climbed from 56th position it occupied after the prologue, and losing the chance & agrave; to play for the podium only because of a contact with Halfvarsson & Outdoors; mouth of the final straight; the second contest a race parallel to that of teammate, finishing tenth after a recovery of 40 positions. The two are scoring well the first two times net of race, too bad that they have no relevance n & eacute; statistical n & eacute; prestige.
SPRINT TL M & uuml; NSTAIR we go home-for Cologna & rsquo; only Sprint listings at this Tour de Ski. & Egrave; feast for the color blue: Federico Pellegrino, a veteran of the first career victory obtained in Davos, center encore thanks to a miraculous sprint allowing him to jump both Petter Northug, according to both Martin Johnsrud Sundby, who centers the third podium of his career in sprint races, all internal to the Tour de Ski. In optical overall standings excellent performance of Evgeniy Belov, Ilia Chernousov and Calle Halfvarsson, arriving in the final, while losing precious seconds the & rsquo; home hero Dario Cologna, only fourteenth. The red bib remains on the shoulders of Northug boasting 25 seconds on Sundby and 27 of Halfvarsson.
10 KM TC DOBBIACO The 10 km classic technique Dobbiaco proposes Alexey Poltoranin at the top of a class race. The Kazakh is imposed in fact mocking just 5/10 Evgeniy Belov, who sees cos & Igrave; blur the chance & agrave; to get the first win of his career. Third stage place for Martin Johnsrud Sundby, who however gnawing precious seconds to Petter Northug, seventh, reaching 1.5 release overall. In the running for the podium Belov, paying only 6 seconds behind Northug, and Calle Halfvarsson fourth is in Dobbiaco is Ranked trailing by 13 seconds. Not recovers instead Dario Cologna, sixth behind even Poltoranin but with a gap that nearly minute.
25 KM TL TRACKING DOBBIACO Because of & rsquo; lack of snow, the traditional Dobbiaco-Cortina is replaced by a chase of 25 km which took place on ring. This test narrows to four the number of candidates to the final victory. Petter Northug, Calle Halfvarsson, Martin Johnsrud Sundby and Evgeniy Belov crossed the finish line in quest & rsquo; order and with almost two minutes ahead of the pi & ugrave; immediate pursuers. Unfortunately for Alexey Poltoranin and Dario Cologna, who are absorbed after a few kilometers and the damage done & rsquo; goodbye to dreams of the final podium. Excellent but the proof of Roland Clara, that with the & rsquo; help of the British Andrew Musgrave and Maurice Manificat returns in twelfth position but closely with those who will play a placing in the top five.
15 KM TC MASS START VAL DI FIEMME The penultimate stage of the 2015 Tour de Ski & egrave; a 15 km classic technique with mass start. In fact does not change anything in the overall standings: Petter Northug and Martin Johnsrud Sundby earn a few seconds of rebate in pi & ugrave; compared to Calle Halfvarsson and Evgeniy Belov, with the 29 year old Levanger that scatter & agrave; the climb to Alpe Cermis with 3 seconds over his countryman, 26 and 35 on the Swedish Russian. The stage left by the big and those who are spared long intermediate sprints, won by Tim Tscharnke, burning photo finish Alexey Poltoranin and Dario Cologna. Another note on Francesco De Fabiani and Dietmar N & ouml; ckler, occupying the same positions (seventh and tenth) of Oberstdorf. Well even Giorgio Di Centa, who all & rsquo; last performance at the Tour de Ski & get a more ugrave; that decent eleventh stage.
CLIMB TO CERMIS In fact there are no surprises in the climb to Alpe Cermis. Martin Johnsrud Sundby fact submits his lighter to release Petter Northug ramps pi & ugrave; hard the climb and conquer the second consecutive Tour de Ski. Northug, however, with a test d & rsquo; pride can resist the return of Evgeniy Belov and to get a second place which is his sixth podium (no wins) in the final classification of the Tour; It should be noted that in nine editions Northug & egrave; always reached the finish line of the Alpe Cermis. The Russian won easily instead the duel with Calle Halfvarsson and get the first top-three of his career in a multistage test. For the & rsquo; Italy comes a new great satisfaction: Roland Clara, after finishing second in 2011 and third in 2013, gets the best time to climb that allows him to win the first victory of his career and that brings him back to sixth place in the rankings General behind Dario Cologna.
TOUR DE SKI MALE 2015 & ndash; FINAL STANDINGS 1. Martin Johnsrud Sundby (NOR) 3: 26: 42.9 2. Petter Northug (NOR) +34.5 3. BELOV Evgeniy (RUS) +51.1 4. Halfvarsson Calle (SWE) +1: 04.2 5. Dario Cologna (SUI ) +2: 06.6
