After the first two stages, held in Lenzerheide, today the Tour de Ski has landed in Italy, in Dobbiaco, where a 15 km skating was staged with interval departure.

Three laps on a very fast 5 km track that revolutionized the Tour ranking. Sergey Ustiugov, already winner in the inaugural race in Lenzerheide, put on a great showdown, trimming heavy gaps to all the competition, starting from teammates. The Russian, who started at a very high pace, had a slight decline in the central part of the race, to then close with a last leading lap, which allowed him to conquer the ninth stage victory at the Tour de Ski and the leadership of the ranking .
At the finish Ustiugov preceded his compatriots Ivan Yakimushkin and Alexander Bolshunov, separated by 22 "and 29" respectively. Calle Halfvarsson mocked, off the podium for only 6 tenths. Instead, Johannes Klæbo paid more than a minute, and after an encouraging start he gradually lost ground compared to his direct opponents for the final victory.
