FIS step back, due to logistical problems and high energy: the 30 km women and the 50 km men that will close the world championship (4-5 March 2023) will be held entirely on Slovenian snow.

Another joke for Friuli Venezia Giulia, after having already lost the appointment with the stage of the Snowboard World Cup in Piancavallo.
As reported by "Rai News", Tarvisio will not host, as expected for months, the start of the distance races which, on Saturday 4 and Sunday 5 March 2023, will be the final appointment of the Nordic ski world championships, at the start in that of Planica on February 21st.
The women's 30 km and the men's 50 km will therefore remain entirely on Slovenian territory; the decision of the FIS is due to logistical problems and criticalities linked to energy costs to set up a cross-border route that would have written a page in the history of cross-country skiing.
