The twenty-two year old Russian set the best time ahead of the French Richard Jouve and the Norwegian Johannes Klaebo; "Chicco" Pellegrino, out Francesco De Fabiani, qualifies for the final stages, with some difficulties. Among the women best time trial for the American Jessie Diggins, just behind the Swedish Maja Dahlqvist and the Norwegian Maiken Falla; pass the cut Caterina Ganz, eliminated Lucia Scardoni and Greta Laurent. The final stages start at 12:30.
