After a head race, in the final the Norwegian champion had the best of an Ebba Andersson in great dusting and dragged by her cheering friend. Great team test of Norway that places four athletes in the top five.

The race has been very selective from the start. Immediately after the start the Norwegians Therese Johaug and Heidi Weng took command of the operations, imposing a frenzied pace, unsustainable for most of the opponents.
At the first passage to the stadium, only the Swedish Ebba Andersson and the other Norwegian Astrid Jacobsen remained on the tails of the two treads, who then had to raise the white flag during the second lap. At the command of the race, a trio remained, which remained compact until the transition to 7.5 km, when Heidi Weng paid for the repeated accelerations of the opponents, breaking away definitively.
In the last round, Johaug has repeatedly tried to disconnect Andersson. On the penultimate climb the Norwegian increased the frequencies and there was no escape for the rival. Johaug took a minimal lead but kept it all the way to the finish line, where he captured the 13th success of the season.
Fourth podium of the winter, without victories, for Ebba Andersson, who made the home crowd rejoice with a splendid second place in front of Heidi Weng 3a. Great team test of Norway, able to put four athletes in the top 5. They ended up at the foot of the podium Jacobsen 4th and Fossesholm 5th.
The first non-Scandinavian race ended 6th: Natalia Nepryaeva. The Russian preceded the Slovenian sprinter Anamarija Lampic 7a, the Norwegian Ragnhild Haga 8a and the Swedish Frida Karlsson 9a. The latter fought for 4th place for three quarters of the race, only to yield in the final.
