Therese Johaug stands on Cermis, the Norwegian queen of the Tour de Ski

As expected, the Norwegian champion has made the void on the ramps of Cermis, conquering the Tour de Ski 2019/20, the third of his career, the seventh in a row for Norway.

For the first time in fourteen editions, the climb to Cermis, the final race of the Tour de Ski, was staged with a mass start. But as has happened on all occasions when she has been at the start, there has been only one woman in charge: Therese Johaug. At the start there were few doubts, and in fact, after keeping the pace high in the first 7.5 km flat, when the track started to climb, the Norwegian went on the run, with only Heidi Weng able to stay behind her for a few hundred of meters. After that it was a solo right up to the finish line. After the 2014 and 2016 editions, Johaug also conquered the 2020 edition of the Tour de Ski, surpassing Heidi Weng and Virpi Kuitunen in the gold register, reaching a length from Justyna Kowalczyk. At the finish the first of the others was Heidi Weng who in the last meters preceded Ingvild Flugstad Oestberg, third stage and in the Tour de Ski ranking. Great test for the Russian Nepryaeva who stubbornly defended the second place in the general classification, replicating the result of last year.
