The 2022/23 season will also offer the novelty of the distances of the tests which, for the first time in history, will be the same for both women and men. The Sprint and Mass Start challenges of 15 km in classic technique will follow one another on the Olympic slopes of the Cross-Country Center of Lago di Tesero, and then move to the top of the Olimpia III slope on the Alpe del Cermis for the last decisive test of the Final. Climb. The usual 10 km in free technique will decide everything. Alongside the Tour de Ski, the equally engaging and interesting side events will be repeated. For the little cross-country champions there will be the opportunity to participate in the Coop Mini World Cup, an event created with the aim of promoting cross-country skiing among young people, driven by the same passion of their favorites. There will also be the show with the “Rampa con i Campioni”, a cult event now for fans and former stars of cross-country skiing, now in its 12th edition, and the Tour del Gusto, to enjoy delicious traditional dishes in company. Welcome and enthusiasm are the watchwords for the 500 volunteers from Fiemme, who with the same joy and determination as the first World Championships in 1991 dream big of the Milan Cortina 2026 Olympics. The 17th Tour de Ski will touch three nations: it will open in Switzerland, in Val Muestair, with the Sprint test on December 31 and the 10 km on the first day of the year, it will continue in Germany in Oberstdorf on January 3-4 and will end precisely in Val di Fiemme, from 6 to `` January 8.
