All ready for the skating sprints in Davos: Klaebo and Pellegrino promise a show!

The Norwegian champion and the Italian cross-country skiing ace are back in the Swiss Alps, both out in Beitostolen, for a race that will certainly give emotions. Among the women, the absences of the Swedes weigh heavily, with the landlady Nadine Faehndrich who dreams of a sensational encore. Qualifying kicks off at 10.45am, with the final stages kicking off at 1.15pm.

The cross-country skiing CdM stops in Switzerland, in Davos, Canton of Grisons, where the fourth stage of the season will take place. Tomorrow, Saturday 17 December, we start with the skating sprint, before the two races scheduled for this weekend. The day will start at 10:45 with the women's qualifiers, and the first to open the starting gate will be the German Sofie Krehl. Immediately interesting names in the first ten starters, with the Norwegian Ane Stenseth with the 7 and the Swiss Nadine Faehndrich with the 9, winner of the Beitostolen sprint. The American Jessie Diggins will start with number 13, followed by the first blue in the race, Nicole Monsorno (number 14); number 15 for the Norwegian Lotta Weng, while the leaders of the general classification, Tiril Weng, will wear bib number 17. Out of the first twenty bibs we find with the number 21 the Swede (only two at the start) Johanna Hagstroem, number 23 for the Finnish Krista Parmakoski. The second blue at the start will be Martina Di Centa with number 35. The many absences in Sweden weigh heavily, at the start there will be only thirty-nine athletes. Here the complete female startlist! At 11:15 it will be the men's turn, with Austrian Benjamin Moser starting first. With bib number 5 we will see Simone Mocellini, first blue in the race and extraordinary 2nd in Beitostolen; the race will begin to heat up with the number 11, Federico Pellegrino, looking for the fourth success of his career on the snow of Davos. Number 13 for the transalpine Richard Jouve, number 17 for the Norwegian Even Northug, with bib number 21 it will be Johannes Klaebo, ruler of the Ruka and Lillehammer sprints; the French Lucas Chanavat will start on the 25th. The other Azzurri at the start: Mikael Abram, returning to the CdM after almost three years, will wear bib number 37, Davide Graz the 43 and Giacomo Gabrielli the 45. At the start there will be sixty-seven athletes, absent the yellow bib Paal Golberg. Here the complete male startlist!
