Visma Ski Classic: Nygaard and Korsgren win in Jizersk 50

The seventh stage of the Visma Ski classic was held in the Czech Republic with Jizerska 50, where Andreas Nygaard and Lina Korsgren triumphed.

The 50 km masculine in classical technique was won in a sprint by Nygaard in 2: 08''09 '' '' ahead of Gjerdalen in sharp recovery but that had to settle for second place just 3 tenths from the Norwegian. In third position the Finnish Luusua (Team MÃ¤enpÃ¤Ã¤) also arrived paired to the first two in the final sprint just 6 tenths from the first position. Nygaard, master of the race, has conquered all the flying goals, asserting his strength throughout the 50 km, always ahead of the competition. A fierce Gjerdalen had to deal with a not easy comeback due to a delay already accumulated after the first 11 km where he already lost 30 seconds. The Norwegian Team Ragde Eindom after three quarters of the race counted a maximum delay of 41 seconds canceled in the final being able to play the victory in the last few meters with the teammate. The overall classification is led by Nygaard to 779 points followed by team mate Gjerdalen to 680 points and Eliassen in third place to 645 points.
