Livigno was able to pool a swimming champion such as Federica Pellegrini in the heart of the Aquagranda center, to challenge on the 50 meters a cross-country skiing champion decidedly not at ease in the tank, that is Federico Pellegrino who in these days began its preparation on the new fund ring (opened last 19 October) in the Alta Valtellina area.
Both in Livigno with their own national teams (other blue swimming champions like Gregorio Paltrinieri, Simona Quadarella, Gabriele Detti and Margherita Panziera are also training) to prepare for the Tokyo 2020 Olympics and World Cup competitions the other, Federica and Federico, met in the semi-Olympic swimming pool of the Aquagranda Active You! wellness and sports center: despite competing in a sport totally different from his specialty, Pellegrino did not want to give up his being a champion of cross-country skiing and faced the swimming star by wearing not only his tracksuit, but also the strap that always accompanies him when he goes down the track.
The great commitment of "Chicco" has not been able to rely on the experience and technique of Federica Pellegrini, who at the end of the challenge accepted the invitation of the bottom champion to wear skis for a rematch on the Livigno cross-country track: l so next year, after the Games in Japan.
Not only united by the name and the many titles (Pellegrino lacks only the Olympic gold, which Pellegrini won in Beijing 2008), but also from the paronomasia related to their surnames, Federica and Federico met in the Piccolo Tibet with one common purpose: to prepare for the various competitions that await them, taking advantage of the versatility, structures and height of Livigno (1816 meters), ideal for performing athletic training at high altitude, taking advantage of all the benefits of altitude training.
