This morning in Lahti (Fin) the program of the junior world championships of nordic skiing has proposed two distance tests alternating with mass start.

The men's 30 km gave Italy the first medal of the world championship. Luca Del Fabbro, in fact, at the end of an uncertain race until the end and which was resolved only in the sprint, won the gold medal. With a great starting point, the Friulian Fiamme Gialle beat the Norwegian Haavard Moseby by 4 tenths. The Scandinavian in turn got the best of the Swiss Cyril Faehndrich by one tenth, while he had to settle for fourth place the US Gus Schumacher, who closed less than a second from the blue. The sprint for the 5th place was won by the Finnish Miska Poikkimaki, who preceded the Russian Andrey Kuznetsov and the Canadian Remi Drolet. All have closed less than 7 "from the winner. The other Italians at the start were Jacques Lino Chanoine and Riccardo Bernardi, 30th and 47th. Here the complete result! A completely different scenario characterized the women's 15 km, won by dispersion by Frida Karlsson, already winner of the 5 km in free technique. The Swedish has trimmed a good 52 "to the Norwegian Helene Marie Fossesholm and almost a minute to the Finnish Anita Korva. The only two blue that ended the race were Laura Colombo and Noemi Glarey, respectively 49th and 50th position. Rebecca Bergagnin has instead retired. Here the complete result!
