Chinese and Korean victory in the 1500 meter short track speed skating at the Winter Universiade Trentino 2013. On the indoor track to the ice stadium of Trento, Korean Noh Jinkyu won the men's race, the first in the final for the gold medal'' with a time of 2:16.810. Silver for his compatriot Um Cheonho (2:16.852), bronze for Canadian Yoan Gauthier (2:17.742). Best Italian Matteo Compagnoni (18 °), eliminated in the quarter-finals.
In the women's 1,500 meters, however, the success of the Chinese Tao Jiaying in 2:30.296, ahead of the Hungarian Bernadett Heidum (2:30.545) and the Korean Hwang Hyunsun (2:30.606). The best of Italian Federica is Tombolato twenty-eighth.
