In the first stage of the World Cup three out of three blue qualified to the quarterfinals of the 500, 1000, 1500. Among males, advancing only Confortola and Dotti 1500.Bene in the relay, both qualified to the semifinals on Sunday: for the team females also the satisfaction of the new Italian record. Tomorrow the final stages of 500 and 1,500.

Good news coming from the Far East. In the first two days of competition the stage of the World Cup in Shanghai, blue skaters are well behaved in qualifying tomorrow and take to the track in the quarter finals to play for important positions. Brave especially girls, are able to qualify three athletes in the third last place in all three individual distances: 500 (Fontana, Valcepina, Viviani), 1000 (Fontana, Valcepina, Viviani) and 1500 (Fontana, Valcepina, Peretti)
The unique risicate individual medal hopes in the men's 1,500 meters are related to: forward two specialists Tommaso Dotti and Yuri Confortola, Nicola Rodigari out in the heats. No blue in the quarter, however, in the 500 (out in the heats and Lobello Rodigari, while Confortola had stopped already in the preliminaries) or in 1000 (Dotti eliminated in the heats, Confortola in the preliminaries, Lobello in pre-preliminaries).
At the end of the second day of competition of the Chinese stage, qualifies for the semi-finals on Sunday the women's relay blue, composed by Arianna Fontana, Martina Valcepina, Elena Viviani and Lucia Peretti: for them the satisfaction of the new Italian record in 4'08 "113. They advance into the top eight men too (Nicola Rodigari, Tommaso Dotti, Anthony Lobello and Yuri Confortola), second in battery (6'59" 570) behind the Netherlands (6'55 "518) at the end of a great recovery following the slip of Rodigari during the tenth round.
Tomorrow, starting from 15:50 local time (9:50 Italian time) are provided, in order, the final acts of 1500 (the final 18:49 local, 12:49 pm Italian time) and 500 meters (20 by the end : 38 local, 14:38 Italian time).
