Another blue podium in Montreal: Martina Valcepina second only to Boutin on the 500 meters, but leader of specialty

A World Cup event that makes a national team smile, dragged by the stars of Valtellina.

In Montreal, the Italy of the short track celebrated another podium, after Arianna Fontana's second place in the 1500 meters. Martina Valcelpina concluded the test on "his" 500 meters in the square of honor, beaten only by a wild Kim Boutin, at the fourth individual success in the season; a placement that means keeping the lead in the cup ranking, as well as being confirmed after the success of Salt Lake City. The Fontana itself, on the other hand, did not take part in the quarter-finals on the shortest distance to manage the body after a very high level return. In the 1000 meters also the excellent 5th place of Cynthia Mascitto, native of Montreal and under the Skating Club Courmayeur, who reached the final A, while Nicole Botter Gomez finished in the 4th place the final B. Final B also for Yuri Confortola, fifth at the finish line in the 1000 meters, and Italy at the foot of the podium with the women's relay formed by Valcepina, Mascitto, Arianna Sighel and Elena Viviani, fourth in the final A respectively behind China, Russia and Canada. First place in the final B, instead, for the men's relay with Dotti, Confortola, Pietro Sighel and Andrea Cassinelli.
