I did everything I could to be ready for the first race of the season, but my ankle was still weak.
After the first training in the USA, I decided that if I fell or made a mistake, it would be better to do it in my individual races. So I talked to the other two national team coaches, Matthieu Ludovic and Assen Pandov, telling them that I would have preferred to skip the relays in Salt Lake City and the OK has arrived, remaining in agreement that I would have skated the relays on the week- next end in Montreal.
I also told them that I wanted to be the one to tell the other girls and explain why I didn't feel like doing the relay. Fontana continues, explaining that the situation is still current: “It is happening again and this time I will not miss the opportunity to communicate directly with the Italian girls. I am writing this post because I do not have the number of all of them, in particular the young girls who have just joined the team, giving my complete availability and, if it is not possible to train together in Italy, I invite everyone to come to Budapest for 5-7 days, taking charge expenses to be able to work on the relay.
