The Coronavirus also does damage in the short track: the Seoul world championships have been canceled

The world championship event, scheduled from 13 to 15 March, will almost certainly not be retrieved elsewhere. The season of the blue stars, from Arianna Fontana to Martina Valpecina, is practically over.

It was in the air and punctually today the official news came from the ISU. The short track world championships, scheduled for 13 to 15 March on the Seoul ice, were canceled: in fact, in South Korea, any sporting event was canceled indefinitely, without there being practically the possibility that the world championship is recovered or moved to another location. For Arianna Fontana and Martina Valpecina, great protagonists in the World Cup vintage, the season is actually over and, in the long term, the focus can only be on the Beijing 2022 Games. Fortunately, given the situation linked to the Coronavirus, almost 24 months away.
