Fontana's statements, which I underline report facts that are totally non-existent and devoid of any real significance, have not only offended and humiliated me as a professional and as a man, damaging the image that over years of sacrifice and hard work I have managed to build , but they have resulted in a series of insults, threats, insults on the part of fans and spectators to the detriment of me and my family, which I honestly do not think I should deserve.
The very fact that the Federation, with a specific press release, has distanced itself from what Fontana has delivered to the press, I believe fully testifies in my favor and cannot but highlight the total absence of truthfulness as declared by my colleague. Honestly, I am amazed to say the least and I cannot understand the reasons and the purpose by virtue of which Fontana has determined to entrust these assertions to the press, but at this point I saw myself in spite of myself forced to appoint my lawyers to protect all the competent offices my image as a person, as an athlete and, I believe, of the whole sport ”.
