The national teams have become official towards the 2020/2021 season: Arianna Fontana will join the group in the coming weeks.

The Italy of the short track also starts again, for the first official meeting on stage at the Ice Rink Pinè in Baselga, in Trentino, where from this weekend and until 30 June the Azzurri will work in the facility usually dedicated to long track.
Without Arianna Fontana, flown to the States after the lockdown spent in Italy and far from her husband Anthony Lobello, Martina Valcepina will lead the national teams, officiated by the FISG right now. After the cancellation of the Seoul World Championships in March, we return to the track starting from the federal center in the heart of Trentino.
First tests for all athletes and, starting from next week, this series of dry training days will be followed by a first part of work also on ice. During the lockdown many athletes kept in shape by pedaling on the rollers and therefore the aerobic capacity of the boys should be good; on the contrary, almost nobody was able to work in the gym, which is why the focus will be set on strength for this meeting. We will be less on the ice because there are many rules to respect and it is not easy at this stage to do quality work, for example, having to keep ten meters away from one athlete to another. We will come back more decisively when the situation has improved and we can hopefully ease the restrictions a little. "
