From 22 to 24 January, the continental review in Poland, for the first real appointment of a troubled season. Ten blues called up.

There will be no Arianna Fontana, who has decided not to take risks related to Covid to bet everything on the world championships in Dordrecht, in March, but it will be an Italian national team with Martina Valcepina as the spearhead, the one that will appear on the ice of Gdansk , in Poland, for the European championships that will actually open the season of high-level short track.
From Friday 22nd to Sunday 24th January, the first big appointment after postponements and cancellations; the technicians Assen Pandov and Frederic Blackburn, with the latter joining the tricolor technical staff from the start of the last meeting, on 5 January, to replace Ludovic Mathieu, have chosen ten athletes to compete for the medals in the continental review. Specifically, the blues called up for these European Championships are Gloria Ioriatti (Fiamme Oro), Cynthia Mascitto (Skating Club Courmayeur), Arianna Sighel (Fiamme Oro), Martina Valcepina (Fiamme Gialle), Elena Viviani (Fiamme Gialle), Andrea Cassinelli (Fiamme Gialle), Yuri Confortola (Carabinieri), Marco Giordano (Carabinieri), Pietro Sighel (Fiamme Gialle) and Luca Spechenhauser (Carabinieri).
The boys will continue to work at the Bormio ice rink until Sunday 17 January, when they will leave for Poland where they will have a few days to prepare on site for the start of the competition.
