The third stage of the Short Track World Cup confirms the exceptional state of form of the champion from Valtellina.

Arianna Fontana still climbs on the podium of 500 meters where the second position behind the Dutch Schuiting launches her in the lead of the World Cup standings over distance thanks to the 3 podiums collected in three races with one victory and two second places. In this first part of the season, the Italian team's haul of the season is enriched by a fourth individual podium and a podium in the relay, while in Debrecen she missed another top 3 with fourth place in the 1500 meters.
A Hungarian stage in chiaroscuro sees the fifth place in Final A of the men's relay. The blue quartet made up of Pietro Sighel, Tommaso Dotti, Andrea Cassinelli and Yuri Confortola fight hard in the race won by Canada (with Korea and Hungary completing the podium) but a fall is fatal and eliminates the possibility of our comeback in the final.
The fourth stage of the World Cup will take place next week in Dordrecht, the Netherlands, which will serve to define the squad of the qualifiers for the Beijing 2022 Winter Olympic Games.
