The European championships on Polish ice have ended: the 21-year-old from Trentino silver also in the overall, the Italian relays as well.

A real blue riot in Gdansk. The Italian short track toasts on the third and final day of the European Championships, with the national team led by coaches Assen Pandov and Frederic Blackburn which is the protagonist of a great exploit both in the individual and in the relay, with a total haul of three medals.
The first, as splendid as it is unexpected, still comes from Pietro Sighel. After yesterday's great silver on 1000 meters, the 21-year-old son of art from Trentino signs a masterpiece and closes the 3000 meter superfinal in first place, thus ending with the Overall silver around his neck.
A podium in the overall male European classification that Italy had been missing for 11 years when, in the 2010 edition, Nicola Rodigari won gold. An unforgettable weekend ends for Sighel with a snapshot of him on the podium between the Russian Elistratov, gold, and the Dutch De Laat, bronze. Until yesterday the ''99 class of the Fiamme Gialle had not yet won a medal among the seniors and in two days it took the limelight. On the other hand, the best Italian in the individual was Cynthia Mascitto (Skating Club Courmayeur), eighth overall after the tenth place over 1000 and fifth in the superfinal of the 3000.
But the joys came, and many, also from the relay races. The female quartet closes the final A in third place behind France and Holland, for a bronze medal that ends up around the neck of Martina Valpecina (Fiamme Gialle), Cynthia Mascitto (Skating Club Courmayeur), Gloria Ioriatti (Fiamme Oro), Elena Viviani (Fiamme Gialle) and Arianna Sighel (Fiamme Oro).
Even better are the men who, behind the Netherlands alone, capture an amazing silver medal with Pietro Sighel (third silver of his fabulous European), Andrea Cassinelli (Fiamme Gialle), Yuri Confortola (Carabinieri) and Luca Spechenhauser (Carabinieri ).
