With the second place obtained in the last stage of Dordrecht, Arianna Fontana conquers the crystal ball of the 500 meters thanks to the victory in the second stage and the three squares of honor, the only one to always get on the podium in the season.

For the champion from Valtellina this is the second specialty World Cup after the one she won exactly ten years ago as well as being the fifth individual podium in the season to which two third places in the relay are added.
The final stage in Dordrecht allows the blue team to reach double figures in the number of seasonal podiums thanks to Pietro Sighel's third place in the 1000 meters which, in the men's field, is added to the victory of Yuri Confortola in the 1500 meters in Nagoya and in the third place in the first stage of the Relay.
The World Cup season which coincided with the qualifications for the Beijing Olympics led to the conquest of the five-circle passes for the three relays, two male and 3 female qualifiers in the 500 meters, four Olympic cards in the 1000 meters - two at the male and two female - and the maximum available of 3 passes in the male 1500 and 3 in the female 1500.
