Bagnis wins in the European Cup, Tretiakov and Nikitina win the second stage of the World Cup

Positive signals are coming from the Italian skeleton movement. In Koenigssee, in the second stage of the European Cup, the Italian Amedeo Bagnis was a bit surprised by the third round of the season, giving himself his first international success in his new career as a winter sports athlete.

The twenty-year-old bearer of the Bob Club Cortina at the second full season in the world of the skeleton after an interesting past in athletics, on the Bavarian gut has confirmed his enormous potential in the thrust phase (he boasts two summer Italian titles ed) that if accompanied by clean lines it can allow it to take off a lot of satisfaction. In the first race of the Koenigssee weekend, Bagnis had taken measurements with the track, immediately printing very interesting times at the start but then on the car he was committing some too many smears that relegated him to 12th position. The following day the Piedmontese however redeemed himself, printing the best time in the first descent that allowed him to resist the overwhelming return of the athletes of the house Renner and Seibl, thus winning the first success in the continental circuit with an advantage of 13 cents on the first of the beaten . Positive weekend also for Mattia Gaspari who, after his debut last weekend in Winterberg, got two encouraging top ten finishes in Koenigssee. In race 1 the 'scorzzano' finished in sixth place, while in race 2 Mattia reached seventh position. Two important results, however, considering that Gaspari is not yet 100% in the boost phase. Among the women successes for the German Amelia Coltman and for the Latvian Terauda, while the Italians Elena Scarpellini and Alessandra Fumagalli respectively arrived twelfth and twentieth in race 1 and seventh and twenty-first in race 2. Good news for the Italian skeleton also comes from the Intercontinental Cup. In Winterberg, in the second most important circuit after the World Cup both Manuel Schwaerzer and Alessia Crippa have continued to gather more than flattering results. The Ossolan in particular has achieved the fourth placement in the top ten, conquering a seventh place that is worth much more than the final result, given that Crippa in the second descent has printed an excellent third part time which allowed him to recover 3 positions. Schwarzer instead came in tenth place in a race dominated by Martin Rosenberger athlete from the flattering past in the World Cup. In the World Cup in Lake Placid in the second round of the Russian double-season seasonal event, with Elena Nikitina dominating the women's race and with Alexander Tretiakov who established herself in the men's competition. The holder of the crystal ball seven days after the disappointing first leg, was promptly redeemed by breaking the German Jacqueline Loelling current leader of the Cup and the Austrian Janine Flock by more than a second, who like a week ago concludes again on the third step of the podium. Fourth place for the Canadian Rahneva who preceded the American Wesenberg and the German Hermann. At Casa Italia, little progress was made for the Alexandrina Valentina Margaglio twenty-second but only 22 cents from qualifying to the second run. In the men's field, a victory for Tretiakov that preceded the eternal rival Martins Dukurs by just 4 cents. The 2014 Olympic champion of Sochi made the difference in the first heat in the program, taking the first seasonal success and also taking the leadership in the general classification. Third position and first career podium for the young German Felix Keisinger, author of an excellent final race that allowed him to earn 3 placings. Fourth place for the winner of the first seasonal race Axel Jungk, fifth Tomass Dukurs protagonist of a splendid comeback from the sixteenth place of the first descent, sixth an opaque Sugbin Yun and seventh Nikita Tregubov. Once the North American bracket is over, the maximum skeleton circuit takes a long pause. The next appointment on the calendar is scheduled for the first weekend in January on the Winterberg track in Germany.
