Few emotions in Winterberg in the second round of the Skeleton World Cup. Both the men's and women's competitions were literally dominated by two great protagonists: the German Jacqueline Loelling and the Russian Alexander Tretiakov.

If a success could be expected from Loelling, the triumph of Tretiakov was an amazing athlete who after the Olympic success of Sochi 2014 had returned to play the role of eternal placed. The Russian instead has invented a perfect race dominating both the scheduled heats. Tretiakov has in fact established the best lap times in both the first and second rounds, closing with a margin of 83 hundredths of advantage over the rebounding Axel Jung.

With this success Tretiakov also jumped to the lead of the general classification of the World Cup reaching the top of the ranking the compatriot Nikita Tregubov fourth in Winterberg.

In the women's field, as predicted dominated by the highly favored Jacqueline Loelling athlete who grew up on the North Rhine-Westphalia track. World Cup debut for the 'alexandrina Valentina Margaglio who also confirmed among the big his excellent skills starting in the first descent the seventh push time. The Piedmontese then closed her test in twentieth position.
The next round of the skeleton circuit is scheduled for the first weekend of January on the Altenberg track.
