Last stage of the World Cup in Igls: the Russians Tretiakov and Nikitina win, the blue 5 cents from the first historic Italian podium in the top circuit.

It was very close, a handful of cents (five) to separate Valentina Margaglio from her first and historic podium in the World Cup, in the final stage which took place today in Igls. Two excellent descents, seasoned with a push phase that has few equals in the circuit (2nd today in this fundamental race, behind only the Russian Nikitina) led the blue to touch the third place occupied at the end by the Dutch Kimberley Bos, another surprise of the season, while the other Italian Alessia Crippa arrives 17th.
Success never in question for the Russian Elena Nikitina, who with this victory reaches the top of the all-time ranking Tina Hermann and Anja Huber, with 12 victories in the World Cup, but in second place is the hostess Janine Flock which, thanks to today's placement, wins its second crystal ball after the success of the 2014/15 season. Sixth is the main opponent of the Tyrolean this season, the German Tina Hermann.

At home Italy 16th place for Mattia Gaspari and 18th for Amedeo Bagnis. For both blue-bearers, the first heat with some too many imperfections and the second, decidedly cleaner.
