At Whistler during the Italian night, Germany wrote a new chapter in the history of gut disciplines. The German national team thanks to the success of Tina Hermann, in second place by Jacqueline Loelling and to the third of Sophia Greibel has in fact monopolized the entire world championship, becoming the first nation in the history of the discipline to succeed in this venture.

In truth, the German team would have even won a resounding poker, since in fourth position has been hoisted that Anna Fernstaedtova that until last year with the surname Fernstaedt had represented Germany even at the Olympic Games in Pyeongchang, before passing from ' summer 2018 in force to the Czech Republic.
The race was from the first descent dominated by the German, with Hermann who has printed 3 times the best time of the heats, allowing the only compatriot Loelling to precede it in the final heat where he established after nine years the new record of the track, record that was made by the British Amy Williams at the Vancouver 2010 Olympics.

Fifth position for the fresh winner of the World Cup Elena Nikitina, which contrary to what was expressed during the season at the World Cup has never been fighting for medals. Sixth place for the Swiss Marina Gilardoni who closed in a comeback that had gone badly after the first descent.
The first world championship of the Valentina Margaglio career ended with a twenty-third place. The athlete of the Fiamme Azzurre sports group did not manage to reach the Top 20 which would have allowed her to finish the race in full heat, but she nevertheless gained significant experience for the years to come.
