A Whistler continues the Magic Moment by Dominik Fischnaller. The South Tyrolean ventiseinne conquered the third podium of the season on the Canadian track on three races held in the Olympic format, demonstrating a continuity of results not seen since the 2013-2014 season when he was still growing in the shadow of the great champion Armin Zoeggeler.

On the historically unfavorable North American gut to the Marabiniere policeman, Fischnaller obtained a third place that is worth much more than the final result. On this occasion, the Italian has confirmed that he has now overcome the problems during the boost phase, which up until last year was his real Achilles heel, highlighting in the guided phase his smoothness qualities that have him allowed in the second run to print the second half time and to recover from the seventh to the third position, winning the twenty-fifth podium of his career.
The altotype was preceded on the podium only by the Russian phenomenon Roman Repilov who trimmed 171 thousandths, and by the two-time Olympic champion Felix Loch (second at 147 thousandths ed) who returned to raise his crest again on the friendly track. The Russian 29-year-old has practically had no rivals on the Whistler track in the traditional format, detaching the very young (class 1999 editor's note) Anna Berreiter at the first podium in the cup, and 221 thousandths her compatriot and daughter of art Victoria Demchenko. Fourth place for the ex-leader Julia Taubitz, fifth the third Teutonic Jessica Tiebel and sixth a positive Andrea Voetter the only blue at the start of the race.
In the sprint Ivanova preceded by 44 thousandths the opaque American Sweeney in the race on two heats, and the German Cheyenne Rosenthal at the first podium in the World Cup. Sixth position also in the shortest format for the Italian Andrea Voetter who finished with the same time as Julia Taubitz. In the overall standings Ivanova drives with 17 points on Taubitz and 94 on Sweeney.
Two German doublets have characterized the double-race weekend. Both in the Olympic format and in the sprint, Toni Eggert and Sascha Benecken have imposed themselves on both occasions have engaged in a splendid battle with the eternal rivals Tobias Wendl - Tobias Arlt. The duo of Thuringia mocked the association of Bavaria in the race on two heats by just 59 thousandths, thanks to the track record established during the final heat. In the sprint test Eggert-Benecken broke the Wendl-Arlt countrymen of just 3 thousandths, while on the third step of the podium the Russians Kashkin-Korshunov were confirmed again. Now in the general standings Eggert-Benecken drive with 45 lengths on Wendl-Arlt and 169 points on Steu-Koeller.
In Casa Italia, a weekend to forget for the veteran Rieder-Rastner, who, despite pushing the record, finished in thirteenth and fifteenth place respectively. Better Rieder-Kainzwaldner who have closed in ninth and fifth position.
Now the toboggan circuit takes a long Christmas break. The next appointment on the calendar is set for the weekend of 11-12 January on the Altenberg track.
