In the final run the German did not get the thrill and after seeing her rival set the new track record she promptly replicated taking first place and priming the gut. Third place and first podium of the season for the daughter of art Victoria Demchenko who held the Russian flag high after the colorless test of the "captain" Tatyana Ivanova who reached only the eighth place, a position further back also compared to the blue Andrea Voetter who in the next sprint race overturned not marking points in key World Cup.
After the success in the traditional Taubitz format, he conceded an encore in the first sprint race of the season, ahead of a trio of highly trained American riders: Summer Britcher, Emily Sweeney and the surprising Ashley Farquharson who with today's fourth place took the best career result. Few surprises in the two-man race of the doubles that saw the second German double of the season.
