Seven days after the surprising success of Sandra Robatscher, today in Oberhof another victory for the blue sled team on an artificial track arrives.

The blue team led by the technical director Armin Zoeggeler has played a capital test on a track that in the past years had always given satisfaction. Italy immediately found a good first fraction thanks to Andrea Voetter, who signed the second time trial ending a few thousandths from an unreachable Geisenberger, then in the second part Dominik Fischnaller invented a perfect descent bringing the ' Italy in command at the last change with the same time of the Germans. Here the young dubbist Ivan Nagler and Fabian Malleier have fully redeemed the disqualification suffered on the previous day (for uneven weight ed), putting the arrow on the rivals and giving the blue colors a deserved success and consequently also the first historic European title in this discipline .
 Second place to 116 thousandths from Italy for the favoritissima Germany that must recriminate for a not perfect round of the two times Olympic champions Wendl-Arlt. Third Latvia detached more than four tenths.
As for the other races of the long weekend in Oberhof, there have been competitions that have reflected the values expressed up to now in the season, except in the men's race that has been nothing short of fought.
Among women, the German Natalie Geisenberger has once again staged her monologue by destroying the competition from the first heat, getting her fifth success of the season, the fourth European career title and taking a step away from the conquest of her seventh Sphere of Consecutive crystal. Wonderful second place for Tatjana Huefner who in front of her own audience disputed her best race of the season at her last performance on the home track.
The German party is completed by the third position of Dajana Eitberger who risked a lot in the final descent where, due to multiple errors, he only printed the tenth part-time. Fourth place for a splendid Andrea Voetter has now become a certainty in the top positions of the standings. The 'blue after a good first heat closed in fifth place, has passed in the final heat where he signed the third best time taking only 43 thousandths from the podium. Fifteenth position instead for Sandra Robatscher the 'other blue at the start of the race.
Among the doubles, peremptory victory of Tobias Wendl and Tobias Arlt that on the home track of the now historic rivals Eggert-Benecken have conquered their third European career championship. The two "Bayern Express" after a season full of smudging have finally played two perfect heats ending with a margin of 200 thousandths on the leaders of the ranking Toni Eggert and Sascha Benecken. With this result, Wendl-Arlt took just a few points from the Austrian Steu-Koller (quarter-finals in Oberhof) in the World Cup classification, commanded largely by Eggert-Benecken.
Third place and first podium of the season for the Latvian veterans Andris and Juris Sics, while at home Italy is the eighth position of Emanuel Rieder and Simon Kainzwaldner. Instead, the young Nagler-Malleier were disqualified, while Rieder-Rastner did not leave because of the broken left ankle reported by Patrick Rastner.
Very spectacular race in the men's single, where incredible but true no German climbed on the podium. The Russians Semen Pavlichenko and Roman Repilov battled for success. Pavlichenko second after the first round, in the final run he put the arrow and overcame the compatriot of just 44 thousandths giving himself his fourth European gold and above all the second seasonal seal that projects him among the favorites for the conquest of the World Cup.
Pavlichenko thanks to the semi-empty beats in Johannes Ludwig fifth, Felix Loch only seventh, of the inclusion in the third place of the promising Latvian Kristers Aparjods took second place in the general classification just 10 points from the leader Ludwig. The Russian will now have from his two races on the home track in Sochi to bring back to Russia the Crystal Ball. Coppone fight that sees in contention also Felix Loch who is 13 points from the summit and Egger who is fourth with 18 points to recover.
As for the blue colors at Oberhof, a ninth place came with Dominik Fischnaller and a twentieth with Kevin Fischnaller.
The Toboggan World Cup now takes a small break. The competitions will resume in a fortnight in Sochi where the last two races of the season will be staged, one with a traditional format and a sprint.
