The next weekend on the historic gut Igls, Tirol, will stage the second act of World Cup luge artificial.

'' The Austrian plant, built in 1935 has been subject to numerous changes over the years that have led to'' take'' the current configuration only in 1977.
The Kunsteisbahn Bob-Rodel Igls, was included in the calendar of the World Cup luge since its first edition and in the course of its history has hosted 31 events valid for maximum circuit of the slides, in addition to four shows iridescent (1977, 1987, 1997 and 2007) and a European championship (1990).
The gut Tyrolean'' also is the only plant in the world to being the scene of three events in five circles. Igls, in fact organized two editions of the Olympic Winter Games in 1964 and 1976, and was home of the first Youth Olympic Games in history in 2012.
Currently with its 1227 meters, Igls is the shortest track of the nine included in the calendar of the World Cup. In addition to the starting phase, which is critical on a track so short, there are three points of the casing to hold in Tyrolean big consideration by athletes: the sequence of curves 4,5 and 6 called labyrinth high, the kreisel 270 degrees located about half way up and down the maze formed by the curves 11,12 and 13 who enter the final stage of the race.
