THE TRACK
Canada Olympic Park & ​​egrave; was completed in the spring of 1986 in time for the first test run of testing ahead of the Winter Olympics of 1988. The Canadian track & egrave; consists of 48 sections of concrete and & egrave; with five different starting points to allow the dispute to all disciplines of the gut.
The 'Plant & egrave; equipped with a refrigeration system which allows to organize the artificial races even at temperatures around twenty degrees centigrade. To reduce operating costs, in the points of the track pi & ugrave; exposed to solar radiation were applied the appropriate panels that allow you to avoid the melting of the ice.
In 2001 & egrave; opened a pistino thrust indoor adjacent to the gut, allowing Canadian athletes to train during the long summer break.
The track of Calgary has some characteristic points that athletes will face with particular attention. Among these, one must not forget the sequence of curves 6,7 and 8 called Omega that leads into kreisel 270 & deg ;, and the labyrinth, that the succession of curves 10,11,12 and 13 leading to the curve of the finish line.
