Wendl-Artl: "We are on track to win the Olympic gold''"

Tobias Wendl and Tobias Artl, known to enthusiasts by the nickname of "Bayern-Express", they are ready for another season to give great satisfaction to their fans.

The two Bavarian, in 2012-2013 were simply dominant, collecting seven wins out of 9 races, equaling the record of five straight wins in the World Cup that belonged to the blues Raffl-Huber and the Germans Krausse-Behrendt. Wendl-Artl currently located in Lillehammer in Norway, where the rest of the team are preparing to do better next season. The duo, in a moment of pause gave a brief interview to'' press officer of the German federation that we propose in its entirety. Q: The first runs seasonal ice, you've performed in Lillehammer, gut that in less than 6 weeks will host the first round of the season. How do you like this track and especially how was the debut on the ice? Wendl: "The track Norwegian l'' we have known only four years, however on the whole I do not mind. During these days we mainly tested the'' efficiency of new materials and we have focused on pushing." Artl: "At the time we did mark the eighth time'', but we had problems with starting device. Anyway from my point of view went well, considering the fact that they were the first descents season. The track we like and do not '''m looking forward to starting to compete in the World Cup. " Q: Tobias Artl, you want to show us the good news that you received during the spring? Artl: "My partner and I are expecting a baby girl Isabelle who, according to the doctors should be born in late December." Q:'' What is the main goal of the season for Tobias Wendl? Wendl: "Our main objective is to have a steady income in the World Cup. In this way we could be in perfect shape for the'' main event of the next season the Olympic Games in Sochi." Q: Those of Sochi will be for you your first Olympics of his career after failing to qualify in 2010. You think it is a disadvantage? How will you prepare for this important event? Wendl: "Of course it was a big shame not to have been present in Vancouver, but it'' s time our teammates Leitner-Resch and Florschütz-Wustlich objectively were stronger than us.'' S idea that I am changes little for us to be a novice or less at the Olympic Games, because we have a lot of international experience and especially for us win an Olympic medal is one of the main objectives, although of course we hope that this medal is gold'' d. " Artl: "At the Olympic Games we will try to give my best or perhaps something more than the traditional races. Certainly at that time will be very important to be fit and not to make smudges, also the track in Sochi we really like." Q: What'' has for you so special about the gut of Sochi? Wendl: "The stretch of departure is perfect for our characteristics, as it is a nice straight straight without any curve. Believe that in this part of the track we accumulate a little'' advantage over rivals. The cross- Sochi is not so difficult to interpret although obviously to make the best time you have to be perfect. " Artl: "Within two or three points have to be careful otherwise the clock will not forgive. These are pieces uphill where you have to avoid smudging."
