Speed Skating: David Bosa takes the 1000m podium in Calgary

The fourth stage of the Long Track Speed Skating Championship ends with the unexpected third place of the thirty-year-old from Trento. The twenty-year-old Laura Peveri confirms herself among the best of the Mass Start.

David Bosa, who took part in the 1000m Final A for the first time after his victory in Division B a week ago, reached the podium conquering, to the sound of a national record, the third place in the race won by the American Jordan Stolz ahead of the ''Dutchman Thomas Krol. This is the first career podium for Bosa while for Italy, in the entire history of the World Cup, it is the second podium over distance, nine years after Mirko Giacomo Nenzi's second place in Astana. In the awaited final of the men's Mass Start, Andrea Giovannini sees his race compromised by the crash of the Korean Seung-Hoon Lee and has to settle for seventeenth place while the Italian colors are held high by Daniele Di Stefano's sixth place. In the women's mass start, the young Laura Peveri is confirmed as she conquers the fifth place and for the fifth consecutive time, also considering the stage in Heerenveen last season, enters the top five positions of the specialty.
