For Simone Origone and Valentina Greggio a bittersweet Saturday in Idre Fjall, with the season that was enclosed (due to the cancellation of the appointments scheduled in Vars) in the Swedish stage only, with the crystal balls assigned with three races disputed, from Thursday to today. And so the Aosta Valley champion gave the scepter, after winning 12 World Cups, to the Frenchman Simon Billy who signed the third consecutive victory by imposing himself again with the speed of 178.69 km / h, with which he detached by over 2 km / h the same Origone, second ahead of the Austrian Manuel Kramer who did not go beyond 176.42 km / h.
The blue was consoled with the podium number 100 in the circuit and at the end second place in the general with 220 points against Billy's 300, while Kramer finished third at an altitude of 200. As for today's test, ninth position for Ivan Origone with 173.34 km / h, while the young Jean Daniel Pession and Samuele Capello placed in twenty-first and twenty-fifth place.
At the women's level, Swedish triumph with the dominatrix of recent seasons, Britta Backlund, who legitimized the first place in the overall with the second victory of the three days, achieved with a speed of 172.20 km / h against 171 km / h of Valentina Greggio, second ahead of the other hostess, Hanna Matslofva with 170.44 km / h.
Backlund thus imposed itself in the general with 280 points, for the third speed skiing trophy after those of 2019 and 2020, ahead of Greggio who collected 230 points after returning to success yesterday.
