For Italy comes the second success in as many races of this start of the World Cup for speed skiing, with Simone Origone who signs the encore after the inaugural pearl of Vars and also dominates the Finnish snows of Salla, in the first of the two scheduled appointments.
The Aosta Valley champion takes triumph number 45 in the maximum circuit, signing a speed of 164.56 km / h which is enough to precede the Austrian Manuel Kramer and the Frenchman Simon Billy. Just off the podium Ivan Origone, fourth, while Emilio Giacomelli finished 21st.
In the women's field, the first podium of the season for Valentina Greggio instead arrives: the Ossola is third, with 156.60 km / h, in the race won by the usual Britta Backlund, which is repeated after Vars and, with 160.05 km / h, clearly precedes the other Swede Hanna Matslofva.
Friday back on track for race 2.
