Too much wind in Vars, the World Cup stage for speed skiing was definitively canceled

After yesterday's postponement, nothing to do even today in the place that, last weekend, saw Valentina Greggio win the world title.

The inaugural stage of the Speed Ski World Cup was officially canceled due to strong gusts of wind, on the French slope of Vars which, last weekend, hosted the world championships of the discipline, with Valentina Greggio who won the gold medal and Simone Origone the bronze in the men's test. After having raised the white flag on Wednesday, on the first day of competitions, the organization had to definitively cancel the men's and women's races for safety reasons. The FIS decisions on relocation to the calendar are therefore awaited for a season, once again, which risks living on very few appointments.
