This year, six slalom skis receive recognition from our Test Team as "Chosen by Tester" skis, a sign of great uniformity in results and technically excellent products, but only one stands out above all. Here is the ski that the Neveitalia Test Team recommends for tight turns.

It is the Dynastar Speed Master SL R22 that is awarded by our skiers as the best proposal for the tight corners for the 2019/20 season. Skiing excels first and foremost for the comfort of handling and for optimal performance in tight curves, those of choice and also as the best result in wide curves. Skiing is characterized by stability combined with simplicity of handling, it has an excellent progression in the curve and remains firm even at high speeds. The structure, derived from the World Cup, is always present, you can hear from the first curves the reactivity and the "density" of the ski, but despite this it is always exploitable in the free field, thanks to the ability to bend the entire structure and support the ground.
Next to the Dynastar we find the Elan SLX which is differentiated by excellent results in tight corners and the best impulse between all the skis in the change of direction. The particular structure and sidecut makes the ski very intuitive, with a natural curve management, the Slovenian product is versatile, intuitive, stable even in large arcs and explosive in the change of direction, to say it in the words of the national instructor Stefano Belingheri. The ski stands out, as mentioned, for the change of direction, there are never dead moments between one curve and another, it allows you to ski always rhythmic, thus ensuring excellent handling and simplicity of management.
Totally different to the Elan is Blossom Performance Flere Plus. Ski made in Valtellina stands out for being a "hard and pure" ski, very similar to a World Cup product, rigid, precise and performing. It guarantees the best stability of the lot, which is why it receives the mention among the skis recommended for the next season. It is designed and developed for tight curves and does not offer too many digressions from the theme, reacts in a few meters to the skier's impulse and never deviates from the set trajectory, guaranteeing extreme stability, even for a slalom product. We recommend it to extreme lovers of tight curves, as long as they give athletic and almost competitive to be able to take full advantage of it.
The American K2 Turbo Charger product, on the other hand, proves to be excellent in medium curves, perfectly centering the high-level ski profile but with a more fun and less “competitive†approach than other models in the same sector. It is a ski that can be summed up in the concept of maneuverability and pleasantness, it has an excellent grip on the ground despite its very light structure, which makes it intuitive and easy to appreciate even for beginners of tight turns. Skiing is made to ski gently, without sudden movements, and in these cases it favors skiing and allows recovery from error.
The ski that gets the best score in the "profile described by the house" is the Fischer RC4 Worldcup SC Yellow Base Curv Booster. Austrian skiing differs from the others in not having a strong competitive ambition but always being intuitive and simple in managing the curve, without losing performance or stability. It is a "grand touring" ski, dedicated to tight curves, it is well planted on the ground, stable but not too nervous, it allows for soft and elegant skiing, it can easily pass from one ray to another, thus also guaranteeing good versatility. It is rewarded not only for its compliance with the profile but also for the excellent management offered by the combination of structure and sidecut, which always put the skier at ease.
The Nordica Dobermann SLR RB Piston is instead the ski that wins hands down in handling. The Italian technicians have managed to get the right mix of the various "ingredients", it is a very pleasant ski and it is "light and easy, fun without having to struggle" explains the instructor Elena Re in her card. Besides being easy it is also harmonious in the management of the curve, it never tires the skier and is thus extremely manageable for the category. He is able to accompany the skier both in evolution from a lower level and to guarantee very high performances if cornered. The structure in fact offers a very homogeneous flex, for a fluid and never too demanding skiing with tourist gaits, but able to withstand the loads of an athletic and competitive skiing.
