Ski Test 2019/20: Nordica collects awards from our testers

Today we present the best Nordic skis for the 2019/20 season. The Italian house surprises and obtains important confirmations to our tests, both on the track and freeride, with excellent products, which all center the profile and position themselves perfectly in the sector of choice. Let's discover the Dobermann, Spitfire and Enforcer line together.

For the track-to-track models we tested five ski levels: in addition to the classic giant, slalom and all-round performance (all models dedicated to skiers of level 6/7), we offer skis for the advanced tourist (level 5) with the classics allround and a lower model, designed for the evolving skier. The top range in the Nordica range is presented by the Dobermann line, with the GSR and SLR and the Spitfire line. the track. It receives the award as "Chosen by the testers" thanks to the comfort it gives the skier: it is by far the highest rating received by a giant product, without however giving in to stability or precision. Italian skiing makes it the best in all bows , with a "very good turn-off that makes skiing seem light", even lighter than it really is, says Alex Favaro. For the tight curves we find the Dobermann SLR RB Piston which is one of the most pleasant and manageable skis among those tested for short-haul, and wins the “Scelto degli Tester” award for the year 2019/20 thanks to its extreme maneuverability. It is indeed a ski "easy to manage the curves, harmonious and stable, not tired makes you ski all day" to use the words of Giorgio Galbusera, with a structure never grumpy, "light and fun, perfect for easy skiing and fluid "specifies the instructor Giovanni Manfrini instead. As a proposal for the 6/7 multi-radius levels we find the Nordica Dobermann Spitfire 72 RB FDT, a ski that for our Test Team centers the profile, is best expressed in the medium curves and also centers the radius of election of the category. It is especially appreciated the structure that offers stability in many situations without ever being thinking. The curved entrance is simpler than the closure, where the ski offers little response, but it is not a real defect, being probably wanted to facilitate skiing responses. The Nordica Dobermann Spitfire PRO FDT is instead presented as an all-round ski for level 5, which receives great praise for the excellent conduct offered by the Italian product, which makes it the "Chosen by Testers" award for the all-around category. It is a model that makes the management of the main weapons easier thanks to the ease of handling and are exactly what the ski's final user of this level is looking for. The ski is however "well structured" and therefore risks going to overlap excessively compared to the superior brother presented in the "Performance" category. As an equal level ski dedicated to the exclusively female public, Nordica presents the Nordica Sentra SL7. Skiing hits the category perfectly, better than the Spitfire Pro, and is proposed to female skiers looking for an easy and manageable ski product on the track without giving up some performance flicks. It is a simple, stable ski with dynamic responses and a light structure, especially voted to the medium range. We close the runway proposals with the Nordica Dobermann Spitfire TI, proposed by the Italian company to a 3-4 level public. Skiing, like the entire Spitfire range, is characterized by a simple and effective skiing, manageable and precise, but that knows how to offer performance when required. It is therefore suitable for skiers who want to evolve quickly from level 4 and embrace the upper level, often skiing on medium arches and slopes, where it is skiable to infinity without getting tired and always offering that precision of which the skier of this level needs. In the freeride field we find the Enforcer range with the Nordica Enforcer 88 for a partial use on the track, and the Nordica Enforcer 104, for use exclusively in powder. The first ski receives the recognition as "Chosen by the Tester" for the excellent results in the curves wide and for stability. It is a versatile ski both on and off the track, it has an excellent impulse and in powder it behaves like a track ski on the track. The Enforcer 104 remains versatile, with excellent floatation and is very easy to turn even in tight corners, in all conditions. It is very well structured but manageable thanks to the rocker on the tip and tail, which also allows good buoyancy.
