The premise is a must: in the GS racecarver category, the houses belonging to the Pool Ski Italia bring together different models, some more racing, others more oriented to tourism, the only feature proposed is to have a radius of less than 21 meters. The awards that we have decided to award do not go to compose a ranking but reward one or more aspects that have favorably impressed our testers.
The ski that most of all contains the prototype of the modern GS is the Dynastar Speed Master GS, Gold Winner for this 2019. Most often reworked but never completely distorted, the French product always surprises for the ability to combine the 'excellent comfort despite the heavy structure, the excellent handling, the great impulse, thanks to which it optimally makes wide, medium and narrow curves (for the category). The instructor Stefano Belingheri tells him: "stable, very solid under the foot, but at the same time very intuitive", colleague Max Novena is surprised by the "optimal handling: compared to previous years has improved a lot in stability in the center of the curve "For all other impressions we refer to the video test!
Imperceptibly below we find the closest relative of the Dynastar, the Rossignol Hero Master M18. Like the Dynastar, Rossignol also impresses with its ability to boost the curve, with a lightning-fast entrance, which is even "much improved at the entry curve and in stability compared to previous versions". After entering the curve, one is surprised by the stability: "extremely stable and with great confidence at high speed, direct and precise entry into the curve", writes Giovanni Manfrini.
However, the stable head of the lot was the Head Worldcup Rebels i.Speed Pro 2019: the stability of the structure, which makes the ski ideal for wide curves in speed, is the plus of this model, which asserts mention among the skis "Chosen by the Tester". The ski is "precise and stable, with a perfect curved entry and kept just as decisive", tells the future instructor Giovanni Manfrini, endowed with "excellent stability thanks to the heaviness of the structure", adds test veteran Stefano Belingheri.
Last mention in this ski elite goes to the Elan GSX Master 2019: the Slovenian house hits the mark, offering a manageable ski, light but stable at the same time, to be exploited on several occasions, especially in the measure proposed to the test: 175cm with radius 19 meters. The GSX Master is rewarded thanks to its formidable maneuverability. Among the advantages of skiing we find the "lightness and at the same time the facility to keep running", says Stefano Belingheri in the card. All testers then agree: the main feature of the new Elan GSX Master is the manageability, as well as the lightness. This makes sure you have a ski at your feet that "puts the skier at ease from the first corners: it's easy in the change between a curve and the other, precise and stable in the curve", to say it with the words of Alex Favaro.
