Ski-Test 2018/19: the freeride models of Black Crows

Let's discover together the freeride and all-mountain models 30% of the "Corvi Neri" Chamonix house, models designed and dedicated entirely to freeski, tested by our team at Livigno Carosello 3000.

The Black Crows Corvus is one of the models of the French house designed for freeride. It 'a ski with a very rigid structure, ideal for heavy skiers and prefer the speed, with good buoyancy and good in landing, but it could do more in "average" situations. At high speeds it offers really nice wide curves and good sensations at maximum incline, and thanks to the rigidity it transmits safety. However, the weight of the ski penalizes the response, which is sometimes slow in the changes of the curve and the less good buoyancy of other skis. The BlackCrows Atris, however, is a surprise of our tests, having virtually no defects in the freeride field. The ski is well structured, intuitive and precise in the curve phase, with good buoyancy that makes it multi-purpose and fun on all the snows. There are few weaknesses, mainly focused on the difficult management of skiing in narrow passages. Our capanatid testers at Andrea Bergamasco recommend it for expert skiers and dedicated to the competitions of Freeride, Heliski and steep slopes. The Black Crows Daemon is the Freeride All Mountain proposal of the French company. It is a great ski to jump, with excellent floatation and precision. It is manageable and, like all the tested models, it has great stability in high-speed corners in powder conditions. A little something on the track, where there is an excessive vibration of the spatula and little stability, resulting in being a more suitable ski for snowy dusts, given the excellent buoyancy and the precision during the curve.
