Ski-Test 2018/19: a gold medal for Head!

The Austrian house for the 2018/19 season basically confirms the high range, introducing a new model, the new i.Race Pro that is proposed to all those skiers who seek high performance without the radius of the giant's curve.

The new proposal is positioned in the "Allround Performance" category and dominates, winning the preferences of our testers, who elect the best proposal in this field for the next season. The Head Worldcup Rebels i.Race Pro is born from the desire to combine the comfortable sidecuts dell'i.Race to the structure of i.Speed Pro, thus offering a truly multi-purpose ski. The Gold Medal is well deserved, the ski excels in maneuverability, edge grip and comfort: everything that an advanced tourist seeks. Skiing is in fact easy but stable, intuitive and manageable, which helps a lot in closing the curve, while remaining stable. In the GS racecarver field we find the Head Worldcup Rebels i.Speed Pro, which also confirms this season among the best proposals in the category, being rewarded as "Chosen by the testers" again this year. The merits of skiing are precision and stability, with a perfect curved entrance, like a razor blade. The structure is heavy and leaves the ski attached to the ground in all situations: snow conditions never put it in difficulty. In the field racecarve slalom is re-confirmed the well-known Head Worldcup Rebels iSL, which confirms an excellent companion for tight corners. In the field of choice the ski does not do any deburring, remaining manageable even at low and medium speed, with a perfect curve closure, ready that never skirts the skier. There is always a good elastic response that helps the less experienced to keep up the pace in skiing. In the freeski field the Austrian house renews the very light Kore, proposing a 93mm and a 105mm under the foot, ideal for our latitudes. Like the Allmountain 30% in the range the 'Head Kore 93 is proposed, which proves always agile and manageable in the you change. The ideal terrain is transformed snow and springs, both on and off the track. The rather rigid structure helps to keep stability at high speeds, while the narrow center does not help in the more extreme freeride, especially in the transformed and windy snow. The freeride proposal is the Head Kore 105, which proves to be performing freeride in all snow conditions, even the most difficult. Compared to the younger brother even the most difficult conditions such as the crust and the spring firn have not scratched the Head. The ski responds well to the controls and proves always stable in trajectory, thanks to the light but solid structure.
