Ski test 2020/21: four new heads tested for you

For the current season, 2020/21, the Austrian house has completely renewed the structure of the Worldcup and Supershape models, with the introduction of the new EMC, a system that manages to harmonize the vibrations of the ski, and out of four models tested it wins two "Testers' Choice" awards.

The new EMC structure was presented at ISPO 2020 and consists of a softer but still adherent structure to the ground, as we explain in this article. The Supershape e-Speed turned out to be one of the funniest, manageable and intuitive skis of next season.The new structure goes very well with the proposed sidecut, offering an ideal product for the advanced tourist, who is looking for medium curves to ski with stability and precision. However, without having to put in too much effort both physically and mentally. Find the ideal terrain in medium curves and compact snow, it is quite heavy under the foot and transmits a lot of confidence and makes you feel immediately at ease and very easy skiing. The impulse in the change of direction is not very high but this is not bad, it allows you to manage the junction well, without being thrown. In the Allround Tourism category, Head has proposed two workhorses, the stainless Magnum, in the new Supershape e-Magnum declination and the revival of the Supershape e-Original: measurements of the first Supershape and structure of the new models. The Supershape e-Magnum becomes even simpler, even more immediate in the corner entry and can be used in a very intuitive way, thanks also to the good sidecut. It is reactive, fast, smooth, progressive in deformation and stands out in medium curves, true daily bread of the product. The structure, on the whole, is widely rewarded by almost all testers both thanks to its versatility and thanks to the general comfort. Compared to previous models, the ski is significantly lighter, this certainly helps the conduction and handling, fully hitting the declared profile and it ranks well in the allround landscape. We close the tested skis of the Head range with the Supershape e-Original that all our testers, both professional and consumer, liked: "goal centered for the declared profile, ski that adapts very well to the three arches, stable but at the same time manageable ”Valeria Poncet said. It is an extremely precise, immediate and fun ski, which makes you feel immediately at ease, both in medium and narrow arches.The new structure is rigid and performing, it is a beautiful ski to use thanks to the perfect deformation that allows you to close every Turns in small spaces.
