The Völkl Racetiger SL Master is the best slalom ski next year. The German house offers a new version of its top product for tight curves, in the "Master" edition. In recent years, the German house's high-end skis have been characterized by a profile that is very centered on the end user, with a broad focus on real conditions of use and this new Master is not exempt. The ski is fun but easy, enters well in turns, is always dynamic and easy to handle and also manages well in medium turns.It is always stable when put on the edge and immediately takes the edge, it is therefore a high-end product for skiers who want search for the precision of a race even in free field. Our test team then identified two other products in the slalom racecarver category to report for next season. The first is a classic from the Dynastar catalog: the Speed Master SL. As with the German counterpart, the goal is to bring the sensations and concept of the Speed Master back to slalom. It is a truly impressive ski, tested to the extent 168cm was manageable, stable and equipped with excellent comfort, despite the important structure. The results in these two items in the test sheet is overwhelming and for these reasons (remembering that it is a product derived from the race) it is awarded the "Silver medal" among the skis chosen by the testers. The structure of the ski is always present, you feel from the first curves the reactivity and the “density” of the ski, but despite this in the free field it follows the terrain and its roughness and remains always usable, without those complications of the “real” SL. To close the triptych of the winners is the new K2 Distruption STI We tested it in Bardonecchia last season and it immediately seemed light in setting, easy in the management of the curve, and very stable and quick in the change of direction. "Chosen by the Testers" for next season is won thanks to the stability of the structure and the impulse in the change of direction. It was tested in winter snow conditions, not too hard, and amazed everyone with the simplicity of handling, the ease with which it is taken to the limit and for the general pleasantness of skiing in short arches.We therefore recommend it, unlike the other two models, for skiers who want to have an easy ski to have fun with without looking for extreme performance.
