Ski-test 2022/23: Rossignol wins two Gold Medals among the skis chosen by the Testers

The new Hero Master is confirmed as the cornerstone of the Rossignol collection. Renewed last year, this season finds a brother in the racecarver slalom field. Both models win the Gold Medal of skis "chosen by the testers" as the best product of the next season in their respective segment! In the GS racecarver field we tested the Rossignol Hero Master M17 with a length of 173cm and a 17m radius, the most fun size in free field and which offers many skiers the possibility of having a softened GS ski, without size constraints. Despite the product aimed at a very large audience, there is always the possibility of correcting the small setting error without losing the line, thanks to the possibility of piloting the foot in the early stages. The generous spatula helps from mid-turn onwards, both in execution and in closing the turn, it excels in stability but also in edge grip and above all in steering where it reaches 100% of positive votes. Under the Rossignol Master, the French house offers the new Rossignol Hero Elite LT Ti which, again this year, has turned out to be a simple, pleasant, fun ski that you can ask a lot of in times of need. It's a ski that without too much effort allows you to express high-level performance, in which a curve entry facilitated by the spatula stands out, excellent stability and great impulse at the beginning of the curve: all this makes the ski ideal for the level 6 skier. It is a sincere ski, which it never surprises you with excessive overhangs, it has an easy turn closure that accompanies you as you enter the next one and quickly makes you forget the 18-metre radius. In the racecarver SL field, the French house offers the more affordable Rossignol Hero Elite ST Ti which is awarded as a ski "Chosen by the testers" for tight curves. We have tested it several times and every time it confirms all the declared characteristics of the Hero Elite range: performance, comfort and ease of management. The high reactivity and the stiff tails mean that, if you are not central enough, the skier can be thrown. However it is always easy to handle at low speeds, it is always fun and very easy to handle. Positioned in the range above the Hero Elite ST We find you the Rossignol Hero Master Short Turn (ST) M13: the main novelty in the Rossignol house for this season does not disappoint the expectations of our testers. It is a slalom ski in all respects, hard, stable and precise in all arcs of curve, but endowed with great ease in corner entry and extreme maneuverability at low and medium speed. The French tool fully hits the profile described by the manufacturer and excels both in stability, in handling and in edge grip. The aspect that most impresses is the ease with which grip and stability are combined with ease of management. In fact, it is not a "grumpy" ski like the FIS slalom but manages to give you the same positive sensations of extreme grip. The made in Rossignol proposal for versatility is the Rossignol Hero Elite MT Ti C.A.M., it is designed for medium-tight turns, it is nice to ski it to the limit and allows great inclinations, making the skier have a lot of fun. Turn management is always very easy, once the pace and rhythm have been set, the ski does everything by itself, thanks to the innate handling and excellent handling. It is thanks to this last entry in the card that it is chosen by our skiers as a "Chosen by Tester" ski for the 2022/23 season among the all-round performance. The all-round series is represented by the Reacts. We tried the Rossignol React 10 Ti, the top-of-the-line model which is also confirmed for the 2022/23 season. We tested it on the spring snows of Pampeago and, this year too, it proves to be an excellent product, designed and developed for the high level tourist, who doesn't want to have a racecarver but a product to grind kilometers and kilometers of slopes without uncertainties. The Rossignol React 10 Ti is a manageable product, with a soft but reactive and elastic structure: tested in the 176cm size and it confirmed itself as a ski devoted to versatility, it is dynamic in responding to the stresses of the snow, there are no excessive elastic responses and end of the curve is very gradual and manageable in reversal of the edge. In the Rossignol range the Rossignol React 8 is the lower step, and is certainly an excellent medium-level all-rounder, which like the whole React range is appreciated for its simplicity of management and handling It is a very intuitive ski, you forget you have it on your feet and at the same time it makes it easier for you to navigate the curves. It is a light ski but follows the terrain well, easy to change direction, which is facilitated by the spatula, slightly rockered to facilitate curve entry. Among the all-rounders dedicated to the female public we find the Rossignol Nova 10 Ti, a leading product in the all-round range. The ski is confirmed to be very light, with excellent response on short turns, fun with transformed snow, has a good turn entry, facilitated by a medium impulse in the change of direction, which gives the skiers the possibility of simple management and direction with the foot. In freeride, the French company brings the Rossignol Sender 104 Ti, dedicated to pure freeride: it is excellent in floatation and is reactive: it has a structure that makes it very stable, it is perfect when cornering, it can be steered well on any curve radius. It has a very progressive and elastic return from deformation, beautiful at speed and can also be skied on the slopes. Tested in size 178, it turned out to be a freeride ski for powder days, thanks to the double rocker that offers excellent flotation on deep powder snow it can be driven at high speeds on extremely vertical slopes. It can also be used to jump into fresh snow both on natural jumps such as cliffs or lips, and on self-built jumps in the backcountry. The Rossiognol Escaper 87 Nano is the proposal for all-mountain freeride and mountaineering. It has proved to be an easy to handle, light and precise ski: its strengths are stability and reactivity in any situation and on any type of snow. The Rossignol Escaper 87 Nano tested in size 168 turned out to be a "pure and hard" the materials that compose it such as the wooden core and the fiberglass and carbon reinforcements make the ski light for ascents and fun, stable and easy to handle on descents.
